CAPF or Central Armed Police Forces are said to be the conglomeration of five security forces in India under the authority of Ministry of Home Affairs. The five security forces are Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Border Security Force (BSF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Gazetted Officers: The cadets are appointed through the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandant) Exam which is conducted by UPSC. Gazetted Officers usually referred as DAGOs (Directly recruited Gazetted Officers).
Subordinate Officers: The cadets are appointed on the basis of the score achieved in the competitive exam conducted by a thorough filtering by the Staff Selection Commission. The recruited cadets are called DASOs (Directly recruited Subordinate Officers).
Constables: Constables are appointed on the basis of the scores achieved in the competitive exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.
